Over the course of a year, I was the brand design lead of our refresh taskforce responsible for bringing this mission to life. Embracing the maker spirit that is deeply rooted in Etsy's DNA, we collaborated heavily across brand, copy, product, and strategy to iterate and develop an exhaustive set of guidelines that were not only technically sound but aspirational. We made sure this document was not simply an educational manual, but a living and breathing document that could be used across the company.
Contents include but are not limited to: strategy, visual design elements (including a composition guide), writing style, accessibility and international, product components, and toolkits for resources.
Please note all examples are mock-ups and images used are placeholders. Many of the examples are provided as reference for future projects and features.
